I'm one with a CONSTANT sweet tooth, so I'm thrilled to bring you my first Mid Week Sweet Treat :) These are my favorite posts, without a doubt. Something that really intrigues me is taking a classic dessert recipe and twisting it. And St. Patty's day was the perfect opportunity to shake things up, literally! (Sorry, I couldn't resist…)
STOUT SHAKE RECIPE
1/4 Cup Guinness
1/2 Cup Hot Fudge
1/2 Gallon Vanilla Ice Cream
1 Cup Milk
TO PREPARE:
Pour everything in a blender and blend away until you get the perfect milk shake consistancy.
4 Ounces White Chocolate Chips
1 Cup Heavy Whipping Cream
*I also added some green food coloring…keeping it festive ;)
TO PREPARE:
Melt chocolate chips in microwave for 30 seconds. Stir and repeat if necessary.
With a mixer, beat whipping cream and melted white chocolate until soft peaks form. This took me about 5 minutes.
TINA’S TIP: Top whipped cream with andes mint pieces. It pairs amazingly with both the guinness and fudge in the shake and the white chocolate in the whipped cream.
Delicious.
