Farewell

Mamie Lynn has undergone a lot of unexpected changes this week. Tina (the Lynn half of Mamie Lynn) has decided to pursue other interests and to end her partnership with Mamie Lynn. In light of this, the open house will be canceled. I plan to launch a brand new website and the products I've been working on as soon as I can! :) I thank you for all of your support and encouragement in our endeavor and can only hope that you will be equally as supportive of my future ventures. :)

My greatest apologies, Allie.

Inspiration // March Edition

Inspiration can come in many forms-music, clothes, personal style, etc. Here are just a few things that have been inspiring us this past month :)

And of course, the 1960's style of Mad Men. Season 5 premieres tonight! Get your cocktails ready :D

Creative Crescents // Cinnamon Brown Sugar Pecan

These little crescents are fantastic for breakfast along side your morning cup of coffee, or for dessert topped with some fresh whipped cream! No matter how you choose to enjoy these, there is nothing else that completes this creative crescent more than a drizzle of honey. I am a sucker for honey, as I’m sure you will see ;)
CINNAMON BROWN SUGAR PECAN CRESCENTS RECIPE
4 oz. Cream Cheese, Room Temperature
1 1/2 Tablespoons Brown Sugar
1/2 Teaspoon Cinnamon (Plus more for sprinkling ;)
Handful Chopped Pecans
Honey (For drizzling)
TO PREPARE:
Preheat oven to 350.  Line a sheet pan with non-stick foil.
In a small mixing bowl, combine cream cheese with brown sugar and cinnamon.  Stiry until throughly combined.  Set aside.
Unroll crescent rolls and separate into 8 triangles.  Dollop the center of each triangle with the cream cheese mixture.  Spoon 3-4 pieces of chopped pecans on top.  Starting with the large end, roll each triangle into a crescent.
Place each roll on sheet pan and bake for 10-12 minutes.
To serve, drizzle with honey and sprinkle with a tiny bit of cinnamon.

Delicious.

Outfit // Hot Pink & Sunshine

My last outfit post was right before my life-altering cold happened (I have a flair for the dramatic...). After being sick for a few days I decided to venture outside and soak up some sunshine. Sunglasses definitely had to happen, though. Not just because my eyes are still so sensitive to light that I literally can't open them without looking like I just watched The Notebook, but because I was in no mood to put on make-up today. I'm in love with these pink sunnies though, so I had no problem with that :) They, along with the pink shoes, add the perfect pops of color to this outfit!
Hot pink loafers? Yes, please!
Oh, and did I mention I got to ride in a BMW Z4? Be jealous.

Date Night // Spaghetti with Stuffed Sausage Meatballs and Vodka Sauce

Upgrading your spaghetti and meatball dinner is so simple. Trade your ground beef for sausage and your marinara for vodka sauce.  The pairing is outstanding and will make your taste buds extremely happy.  Not to mention, the ooey gooey melted cheese surprise!
I was very fortunate to grow up with a half Italian family, which means I got pretty spoiled with some delicious food, as well as access to some amazing recipes.  I’m happy to pass along a version of my family’s quick and easy meatball recipe.  Enjoy and make it a Date Night ;)

STUFFED SAUSAGE MEATBALLS RECIPE

2 1/2 Hot Italian Sausage Links, casing removed (This is half a pack. You can freeze the rest for later!)

1 Egg
Splash of Milk
1/4 Cup Grated Parmesan Cheese
1/4 Cup Italian Bread Crumbs
1/4 Cup Chopped Onion
1 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
1 Teaspoon Italian Seasoning
3 Dashes of Worcestershire Sauce (Optional, but good!)
Salt & Pepper
1 Stick of Mozzarella String Cheese

TO PREPARE:
Preheat oven to 350.  Line a baking sheet with foil and set aside.
Cut string cheese in 8 pieces.  Set aside.
In a medium mixing bowl, combine remaining ingredients.  Mix thoroughly with your hands!
Take about 2 tablespoons of the meatball mixture and place 1 cheese piece in the center.  Roll into a ball surrounding the cheese and place on baking sheet.  Repeat using the remaining cheese and meatball mixture.
Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and juicy!

SERVE WITH:
1/2 Pound of Whole Wheat Spaghetti, cooked and drained
1 Jar of Vodka Sauce, heated on the stove
More Parmesan Cheese, if you so desire!

Delicious.
